Instrument Assisted SMT

Rehabilitation

Rehabilitation can include any number or variety of exercises, balance work, or stretching. Home exercises taught to the owner/caretaker will provide long term results for their animal.

Manual Therapy (Muscle Work)

Low Level (Cold) Laser Therapy

Skeletal Manipulative Therapy

After a thorough history physical examination, and biomechanical assessment, a high velocity-low amplitude force is applied along the joint plane to joint articulations identified with restricted motion. Normal biomechanics decreases overall inflammation and pain with a reduction in potential injury, encouragement of healing the current injury, or just general musculoskeletal health.

In the state of Texas, AVCA certification is not required for a provider to see your animal for chiropractic care. An AVCA certified practitioner is the best option for your animal. Click below for more information.

Instrument assisted adjustments have the same goal and benefits as regular animal chiropractic manipulation, but the instrument delivers a specific focal force that may be more appropriate for extreme inflammatory conditions, more acute and painful conditions, and very small animals.

Manual therapies encourage normal musculoskeletal motion through muscular activation and biomechanical rehabilitation. Manual therapies generally involve pressure to muscular tender points with encouragement of normal ranges of motion or stimulation of musculature that was identified as underactive.

Also known as photobiomodulation, low level laser therapy alters bodily responses to injury, such as inflammation and immune reactions. This change in physiology promotes healing for various tissue types with minimal side effects and short treatment time.

Gait, Conformation, & Performance Analysis

Early assessment of gait, conformation, and performance can give a huge competitive edge in athletic animals and prevent future injuries.

Conformation analyses receive a descriptive document of all findings during the exam.

Equipment Fittings

Properly fitted equipment is vital to your animal's daily activities and performance for working, service, and competitive animals. Improperly fitted equipment can cause long term musculoskeletal problems and affect the health of your animal.
